products_bag-of-wool_600We’d love it if you come in and visit us.  We are here to help you any way we can!  Whether it’s advice on yarns or patterns, placing a special order for you – or help with a problem – we’d love to assist you.  All our staff are expert knitters – with some crocheters, spinners, weavers and felters, too.  This means we have the knowledge you need to resolve any fiber question.  And we offer finishing services, as well as classes daily.

We offer a wide array of knitting, crochet and spinning classes with some of the most experienced instructors in the Portland area.  Please see our classes page for more information, or contact the store by phone to register.

Our Knitting, Crochet, Spinning, Weaving and Felting Fibers have been designed for fiber artists in historic Multnomah Village for 25 years.

Please check out our yarns and fibers page for a listing of what we carry.

Our hand dyed yarns and fibers are dyed for us by many local NW artists including: Teresa Ruch Designs, Knitted Wit, Kate Loomis, Art by Eve, Shaggy Bear Farms, Twisted Sisters and others.

We also sell spinning and felting fibers by Woolgatherings, Dicentra Designs, Ashland Bay and others – plus yarns for dyeing.

We carry a large selection of yarns: MadelineTosh, Habu Textiles, Shibui, NORO, Malabrigo, Debbie Bliss, Rowan, Cascade, Blue Heron, Brown Sheep, Berroco, Manos Del Uruguay, Misti Alpaca, Classic Elite, Mountain Colors, Plymouth, Tahki (TSC) and more wools, silks, cottons, mohair, alpaca & angora.

We also carry a very large selection of needles, accessories, buttons, patterns, books, magazines and gift items – all aimed at Fiber Artists’ needs. We carry an extensive selection of Lantern Moon accessories and applaud their efforts to support third world artists. One of our exclusive offerings are hand-thrown “knit-out” bowls by Oregon Potter Frank Philipps.

We are located just a few miles south of downtown Portland, Oregon, in quaint Multnomah Village.  The Village offers hip local shops, restaurants, the Multnomah Arts Center, and plenty of free parking.  We are also on the TriMet bus line so from downtown you can take bus #44 or #45 and it stops right in front of our store.
