Sponsored by Northwest Wools, Multnomah Arts Center & Flying Shuttle – we will be using our 2017 WWKIP Event to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s “Longest Day Campaign”. Since both our yarn shop and the Multnomah Arts Center support so many kinds of textile arts, we are expanding our celebration to include all the wonderful fiber arts practiced here in Oregon! Yowza!! So our WWKIP will not only welcome knitters – but also crocheters, weavers, spinners and felters. We love supporting all of you talented Fiber Folks!
We will hold a silent auction of yarn and other fiber art oriented items, with proceeds going to support this Alzheimer’s campaign. Donated items will be from Northwest Wools, the Multnomah Arts Center, Flying Shuttle, Silloway Weaving Studio and more…
Be sure and wear or bring your hand-made item to enter our contest for “Best Fiber Art”. This contest is for ALL fiber art, not just knitting!
We will offer prizes for “Best Fiber Art” in these 5 categories:
Knit ♦ Crochet ♦ Weave ♦ Spin ♦ Felted
We will meet in front of Northwest Wools Yarn Shop, located in historic Multnomah Village. Please bring your own lawn chair and your fiber art to work on while sitting outside with us. And remember to wear or bring your item to enter for the “Best Fiber Art” prizes! We warmly welcome ALL fiber artists, not just knitters!
In the event of rain, we will look for an inside venue in Multnomah Village. The alternative venue will be posted on the Northwest Wools Facebook page.
