This is Northwest Wools' exclusive colorway, dyed right here in Hillsboro by Garage Dyeworks. Currently, we have three bases to choose from: Cadillac Sock, Chrome Sock, and Auto Worsted.

Cadillac Sock is a 4-ply yarn, and is perfect for socks, shawls, accessories, and garments — whenever you want a touch of luxurious cashmere! Each skein is 100 grams/414 yards and contains 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon.

Chrome Sock is a versatile 4-ply yarn tightly plied with lurex thread, which can be used whenever you want a touch of sparkle. It makes great socks, accessories, shawls, and garments. Each skein is 100 grams/400 yards and contains 92% superwash merino and 8% lurex.

Auto Worsted has softness and durability in a worsted weight. It's great for shawls, sweaters, hats and so much more. Each skein is 100 grams/210 yards and is made of 100% superwash merino.

Garage Dyeworks grew right here in Hillsboro! Sharon Spence started offering hand-dyed yarns for sale in 2008 when she was branding herself as Stitch Jones. She draws inspiration from nature and the Pacific Northwest, which can be seen in her bright, vibrant colors and creatively named colorways. She loves seeing what customers create from her hand-dyed yarns, and we’re excited about our new colorway!

  • Returns

    Un-wound yarn and like-new needles and accessories may be returned in-store for store credit. All returns must be accompanied by a receipt.

    If a return must be shipped back to Northwest Wools, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

  • Dye Lots

    Prepackged kits will include yarns of the same dye lot; however, when purchasing yarn by the skein we cannnot garuntee that all skeins in an order will be from the same lot. If you are purchasing multiple skeins for the same project or are attempting to match the dye lot of skeins you already have, please call the shop at (503) 244-5024 to confirm the lot before placing your order.

  • Classes

    We reserve the right to cancel classes any time before the day of the class. We will make every effort to contact students via the contact methods provided at checkout. If Northwest Wools cancels a class, students will receive a full refund.

    Students may cancel their registration up to one week in advance of the beginning of class and receive a full refund. Otherwise, classes are non-refundable.
