Tapestry Weaving Class

Tapestry Weaving Class

Wednesday, 1/31/24
12:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Tapestry weaving is a wonderful entry into the world of weaving!

This one-day class will cover weaving basics, including warping a loom, a variety of techniques and stitches, and how to weave shapes into your fabric. Instructor Laurie encourages experimentation and using a variety of materials; tapestry weaving is a great opportunity to use up stash leftovers and non-traditional materials.

Materials required for class:

  • Weaving frame
  • Yarn for warp and weft — worsted weight yarns are ideal
  • Darning needle or wool needle

All of these materials are available for sale at the shop, including a sample bag of small yarn balls for adding texture. Registered students receive a 10% discount on their purchases for class.
