Instructor: Judy Auping

If you purchased a sock tube at OFFF or at our Sock It To Me! event, you're probably thinking, "OK, now what?" In this class, Judy will guide you through the steps needed to turn your knitted tube into a pair of socks. While you won’t be able to complete the project during the class, Judy will have a detailed handout for you (with pictures!) and will make sure you’re well on your way.

This class is for intermediate-level knitters. You should be comfortable working in the round with double-point needles, Magic Loop or two circulars.

Please bring with you to class:

  • Machine-knit sock tube
  • Knitting needles of choice for knitting small tubes (double-points, long circular or two circulars), US size 1 and 1.5. You will be attempting to match the gauge of the pre-knit tube, so it is helpful to have a few different size needles to choose from.
  • Scrap worsted- or DK-weight yarn that will contrast with your sock tube
  • Split-ring or locking stitch markers
  • Darning needle
