Tapestry weaving is a wonderful entry into the world of weaving!
This one-day class will cover weaving basics, including warping a loom, a variety of techniques and stitches, and how to weave shapes into your fabric. The instructor encourages experimentation and using a variety of materials; tapestry weaving is a great opportunity to use up stash leftovers and non-traditional materials.
Materials required for class:
- Weaving frame
- Yarn for warp and weft — worsted weight yarns are ideal
- Darning needle or wool needle
All of these materials are available for sale at the shop, including a sample bag of small yarn balls for adding texture. Registered students receive a 10% discount on their purchases for class.
