We are so excited to welcome Bellwether Wool Company to the shop, for what will surely be a spectacular trunk show!
Bellwether Wool Company’s fiber is raised on two small western Oregon farms, just outside of Corvallis. Besides Cormo, Wensleydale, and Leicester sheep, they raise alpacas, rabbits, and several non-fiber producing farm animals. After shearing, they wash and dye the wool before it’s commercially processed into pin-drafted roving, batts, and beautiful yarns. The owners are hand-spinners, knitters, crocheters, felters, and weavers — as well as shepherdesses — so they sell what they personally know are fantastic products.
The trunk show will feature:
- Wensleydale yarns
- Roving in a variety of hand-dyed colors
- Specialty roving blends including yak, bunny, and qiviut
- The Sheep Breed Study Box, including 140 roving samples from 131 sheep breeds with an accompanying 278 page book
