Multnomah Village Prize Basket
There are at least 5 prizes you can win at each shop you visit during the Crawl, and 2 Grand Prizes you can win if you go to all the shops and turn in your completed passport.
Northwest Wools is offering an additional prize: A Multnomah Village Prize Basket filled with goodies and gift certificates from a variety of shops in the Village. Multnomah Village is a special place, filled with fun shops and restaurants. We hope you'll take some time to visit some of our neighbors while you're here during the Crawl!
Many thanks to our generous Village sponsors:
Turned to Stone Hood
The Turned to Stone Hood is a cozy cover-up for your head and neck. It features snake-like cables reminiscent of Medusa, the famous Gorgon of myth whose serpent-covered head turned mortals to stone. The hood’s unique construction makes it a fun knit, and the softness of Fiona Kay Knit’s Outlaw DK yarn will make you never want to take it off.
Medusa Cowl
While Medusa’s head inspires fear, her tail is much safer—and more beautiful—to look at. You can sport a scaly look of your own with this fun-to-crochet cowl! The Medusa Cowl is composed of two panels: one features shell stitch, and the other uses crocodile stitch to mimic Medusa’s scales. And it's all done with just one skein of Schoppel-Wolle's Zauberball Starke 6!
Trunk Shows at Northwest Wools
Some of our favorite vendors will be here with oodles of yarn, fiber and bags to tempt you! Come meet the artists behind the brands.
March 5-8
InTheBagPDX
We’ll host InTheBagPDX for a trunk show all four days of the Crawl. Owner Tracy creates practical but fun and unique bags and storage accessories for all your project needs, from sweaters to socks. Her bags, bins and rope baskets are as notable for their colors and patterns as they are for their excellent craftsmanship.
March 5-8
Fiona Kay Knits
We’re excited to once again feature Fiona Kay Knits for all four days of the Crawl. A one-woman dying operation based right here in Portland, Fiona draws inspiration from goth and alternative fashions, country western aesthetics, horror movies and American traditional tattoo designs. Her work has been described as “Goth Lisa Frank” or “Dolly Parton meets Elvira.” Fiona’s yarn is featured in our shop’s knit pattern this year.
Thursday, March 5
Garage Dyeworks
Sharon Spence of Garage Dyeworks has been dying yarn in Hillsboro since 2008, previously under the name “Stitch Jones.” She enjoys using bright, vibrant color in her dye work, and likes fun names for her colorways, like “Fold in the Cheese,” “She Walked in Through the Out Door,” and “Bring Your Jukebox Money.” Sharon is the dyer who brought us our signature shop color, “Belle of the Ball.”
Thursday, March 5
Heidi West Designs
Heidi's bags and textiles are unique, produced in small batches, and made to last. Taking inspiration from nature and the Craftsman style, Heidi designs and screen prints her own fabrics before sewing them into fabulously functional bags. We dare you to buy just one!

Three Fates Yarns
Stephania Fregosi of Three Fates Yarns is back for an in-person trunk show this year! The daughter of two retired artists, Steph’s life-long obsession with color is apparent in her gorgeous colorways and gradient sets. A dyer of yarn and roving, Steph favors ecofriendly fibers, including organic certified merino wool and carbon beneficial rambouillet.
Friday, March 6
Favour Valley Woodworking
Martha Sunderland of Favour Valley Woodworking will be here with her hand-crafted buttons, toggles, shawl pins and accessories. Martha’s goal is to provide beautiful accessories that complement all types of handwork, while at the same time protecting the environment by using sustainable materials, finishes and technologies.
