Chrome Sock is a versatile 4-ply yarn tightly plied with lurex thread, which can be used whenever you want a touch of sparkle. It makes great socks, accessories, shawls, and garments.
Garage Dyeworks grew right here in Hillsboro! Sharon Spence started offering hand-dyed yarns for sale in 2008; she draws inspiration from nature and the Pacific Northwest, which can be seen in her bright, vibrant colors and creatively named colorways.
Please understand that this yarn is hand-dyed, and the colors on individual skeins may vary somewhat from the photos.
Unwound, like-new yarn may be returned in-store for store credit within 6 months of purchase. Like-new knitting needles and crochet hooks with original packaging may be returned in-store for store credit within 1 week of purchase.
All items must be accompanied by a receipt. If a return must be shipped back to Northwest Wools, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
No returns or exchanges are accepted on any other items or on clearance items.
Dye Lots
Prepackged kits will include yarns of the same dye lot; however, when purchasing yarn by the skein we cannnot garuntee that all skeins in an order will be from the same lot. If you are purchasing multiple skeins for the same project or are attempting to match the dye lot of skeins you already have, please call the shop at (503) 244-5024 to confirm the lot before placing your order.
Classes
We reserve the right to cancel classes any time before the day of the class. We will make every effort to contact students via the contact methods provided at checkout. If Northwest Wools cancels a class, students will receive a full refund.
Students may cancel their registration up to one week in advance of the beginning of class and receive a full refund. Otherwise, classes are non-refundable.
